Hi all,

I am unable to use spell check in LibreOffice 24.02 on Ubuntu 24.04.

I have installed LibreOffice through apt, hunspell and hunspell-en-us
dict are also installed through apt. And I tried to follow these
[1][2] instructions but none of them seems to work.

Thanks.

Not sure I could follow these. However, looking at my 25.2.x writer:

 * Open settings
 * Expand "Languages and Regions" and in
 * "General" make sure the correct language is chosen
 * "Writing aids/help" (sorry I am looking at Spanish interface): make
   sure Hunspell is selected (and other dictionaries if installed)

I see someone suggested LanguagTool, which, if installed, will appear
in the Languages and Regions settings. I still use it, but am
increasingly finding it a pain for its "style checks." It is not needed
for basic spell checking.

Good luck.
