Hi.
Took a bit and some playing with the Styles list. I think I figured this
out. This is my window laptop. I uninstalled LibreOffiece first and
reinstalled, LO 24.8.2.
I fired LO Writer up after the reinstall. LO W immediately wanted to
update and did so. After the update there were again only three
paragraph styles listed in the right hand Styles column. The paragraph
style icon on the top of the list was highlighted.
I discovered that if I selected any of the other five style icon
classes, then went back to the paragraph style, the default styles did
list including the three I added. Writer always seems to come up like
this from a fresh start.
I've never seen Writer so this before this latest update.
Oh, the three paragraph styles listed at start up are appendix,
subtitle, and title. Always the same until I change style classand then
go back to paragraph style.

Ex SysAdmin, now, writer /It would be nice if all of the data which
sociologists require could be
enumerated because then we could run them through IBM machines and draw
charts
as the economists do. However, not everything that can be counted counts,
and not everything that counts can be counted.
