Hi Harvey,
for using AutoGrow:
1. All fields in one row should have the same height and the same
y-start. So it will become a row in the table, which will be created
by
ReportBuilder in Writer. Default height for every field is 0.5 cm
here.
2. Mark the first field in the row as AutoGrow → Yes. It will set all
other fields to AutoGrow. Only this entry will be saved, all other
entries will be shown when reopening with this value.

Thanks, Robert ;-)
Ahhh....then that scuppers AutoGrow for me, unless I completely
restructure the report's Detail section.
Because...
on the left side of the Detail section there are 2 rows each with 3
fields of identical height. The only field I need to AutoGrow is the
third (rightmost) one in the second row, which has enough space below
it for all cases.
But on the right side of the Detail section there are fields with other
size attributes (which, incidentally, determine the actual height of
the Detail section, thus providing enough space for the one AutoGrow
field.
Cheers
Harvey
