What about
=ISERR(SEARCH("Nationwide";B1))+1

I want to do something like this now:
=IF(FIND("Nationwide", B1)>0,1,2)
It works if "Nationwide" is found in B1 but I get #VALUE! if it is not found.
I'm guessing because the FIND is not returning a number?

Good! Your computer is working properly.

You have asked FIND() to start looking at the zeroth character in the text, which doesn't exist.
The characters are the first, second, third, and so on. Try:
=FIND("Nationwide",B1,1)
or just:
=FIND("Nationwide",B1)

I trust this helps.
