If you export as PDF, does the PDF show the header and print OK?

Check your printer manual to see how far from the edge the printer can
print.
Many printers have restrictions for the outer margin.
If your header is in the non-printable area, the printer will not be
able to print it.

the header will no longer print regardless of checking header , footer
in the print settings.choosing 8.5" x 11.5" as the document size,
borderless.
print preview shows the entire page , including the header text. it just
WON'T print it the header text.
wasting so much ink trying to print to see if the header will show up!
