I am still having a problem. I scan a document as jpeg or pdf and save it
in documents. When I try to open the document in Writer to edit it , it
open in Draw and I can not edit it. How do I solve this problem? If I copy
and paste the document the resulting document is much darker. I have never
had theis problem before with my computer.

LO Writer cannot open image files for editing nor pdf files. That's why the LO suite opens them in
the Draw application.
