I posed a question a few weeks ago about "Save As" not having a suggested file name in the "Name" field, I had no replies possibly because no one else saw this incorrect behaviour. I see issues in KDE Dolphin, are you seeing the issues in MATE Caja. Has the issue been observed in Gnome Nautilus.

I've just tried running this on my headless freebsd server, with the X11 output on my Mint desktop. I've no idea what sort of environment that offers the application on the server. I can say the dialogue boxes shown for failing-on-mint and working-on-mint files are fine: very akin to the LO style, and show (with a brief test) no issues at all.

And a further test on Raspberry Pi OS(*) with the same files shows much the same style of dialogue box as freebsd, again without obvious issues.

But as the problems seem to pop up rather randomly, those comments may be mis-leading.

(*) Pi4: surprisingly snappy in use! I've not tried it before.
