[libreoffice-users] System closed abruptly and I lost my work

Good evening,
The title basically explains it, but I will explain it further.
I downloaded LibreOffice this morning, I quickly found that I love the program. I was able to work 
from about 10:30 AM or so until 3 PM -ish(?) Then, unprovoked, the system shut down abruptly. I had 
a mini-stroke, but when I launched the program again, it prompted me to restore ()However, in my 
excitement that my work had not been lost, I selected 'discard' or 'delete' ()
I've been trying to restore it in every way your website suggests. Nope. Hasn't worked.
Please tell me that you can help.  Haley
