Hi Everyone!
Peace and love. Not war, never war from now on.
I was looking with my School Students the UN's Agenda 2030 and we are
using and spreading its logos, values and planning active actions.
You can download related materials in your language from here:
https://unric.org/en/sdgs-in-your-language/
We massive use LibreOffice, Inkscape, Gimp, Scribus, Krita, MyPaint,
Shotcut/OpenShot, Meshroom CL (open source photogrammetry software),
Meshlab and Blender with my Students.
In the programming courses we also use and write code in: C/C++, PHP
(HTML/CSS/Javascript) and Python.
The Agenda 2030 logos are delivered from the UN site above in:
a) vector format --> EPS
b) bitmap format --> JPEG (425 x 425 pixels, 70 kbyte average file
size)
What's the question?
The question are two:
1) in total and full coherence with Agenda 2030 values themselves (at
least 1, 4, 8, 10 and 17), format have to be open (I mean SVG and
PNG)! Could you help us to ask UN for that? May be useful to open a
petition on change.org or similar site as well as to directly write
to UN itself? We are doing that in next days...
2) LibreOffice (7.3.3.2 both Windows and Linux versions) doesn't
correctly opens that EPS images, it shows only an image placeholder
in which it writes that the file are built from Adobe Illustrator(R)
22.0... (UN: :-( ); I simply open them with Inkscape and save them in
SVG format (and to a 3445 x 3445 pixels PNG file only 4 times file
size larger than 64 times pixels smaller JPEG). The results seem
perfect! Are LibreOffice EPS import filter improvable or bug affected?
What do you think about these troubles?
