Hi,
The comment probably has been deleted with "Track Changes" ON (record
mode). The X on top of it indicates the comment is actually not there
anymore. You can select it (click on it), then go to the Edit menu >
Track changes > Accept and that should delete the comment.
I hope this helps.
Rémy.

I am working with a book-length document in LO Writer 7.0.4.2 on Mageia
Linux in which a collaborator (probably with an earlier version of LO)
marked comments as resolved (or deleted? - marked with an "x") while
following changes was turned on.
In cleanup I want to eliminate the comment, but LO only offers the
option of eliminating all comments by or all comments by all users.
* Is there some way to eliminate these comments one-by-one, or do I
need to return after dealing with all comments?
* And is this a bug or a "feature"?
Thanks,
Roy
