Hi Stephen,
perhaps there are other ways, but I would do it as follows:
1. Create a new page style (e.g. named A3) for your big pages
2. At the place where you want to insert the A3 page chose the menu command "Insert->Manual Page
break" and in the following dialog select "page break" and choose style A3.
3. behind the A3 page insert another page break back to default page style.

I have prepared a document which is in A4 portrait format. I want to insert
two pages in A3 format part way through the document. Can anyone advise me
how to do this so the document has mixed size pages?
