I think you're referring to that spell checker option;
for some reason, it's one of the default settings in programs &
browsers;
but it can be turned off by going to properties.
For some reason, computer 'experts' must not know how to spell, nor
remember when to save, & must enjoy the glare of the bright light in their
eyes. ;-)

I would Google this issue but I'm not certain what the phenomena is called.
I'll type in a word or phrase in Writer and it "suggests" the completion of
the word and/or phrase in dark blue highlighting.
I'd prefer it not to do that.
Is there a setting I can change to ensure it won't suggest anymore?
