Hi Tim

There is a very comprehensive Video editor for Linux called OpenShot 2.0.
Runs well on Ubuntu 16.04. (Not sure about previous ubuntu systems, but am pretty sure will run on
14.04 plus).

The program is a Kickstarter success.

OpenShot Video Editor is a free, open-source video editor for Linux licensed under the GPL version
3.0.
