Hi :)
That says it a LOT more succinctly! Thanks :)

It also opened fine in LibreOffice 4.2.8 without any problems at all. The
layout was different in vary minor trivial ways but it's still at the
work-in-progress stage rather than final tweaks to layout.

Also i apologise deeply for my last email! I don't like MS's "One Drive"!
I did figure out how to download the file. If anyone else didn't know it
1. Click on the "Open in Word" button
2. on the error-message pop-up is a button saying something like "Don't
have MS Office? Download anyway?"

Also i suddenly recognised the name as being very similar to an old friend
who i haven't heard from in years but who was doing some great projects in
Malta with little or no support. Much respect to him, and if it's you then
many more apologies for my rant.
Regards from
Tom :)

I can't identify any issues with the OOXML .DOCX you posted:

It opens in LibreOffice
Version: (x64)
Build ID: 37b43f919e4de5eeaca9b9755ed688758a8251fe
Locale: en-US (en_US)

It also opens in MS Word 2013 (15.0.4753-1000) 32-bit from MS Office 2013
Professional Plus without issue.

Further to Tom's comments--the OOXML formats between MS Office versions
change. The 2007 implementation is probably less "stable" than the current

Better practice would be to *not* work in OOXML and instead retain the
document for editing in native LibreOffice ODF 1.2, i.e. as a .ODT. Only
convert to OOXML .docx, or better PDF 1.4, for exchange with
non-LibreOffice users when necessary.

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Is this a corrupt document? Why?

I am having trouble understanding why the attached document is corrupted on
Microsoft Word 2007 and on LibreOffice at times. I have since then updated
to the latest version, however opening this document resulted in a lot of
warnings indicating that the document is corrupt. I also noted that I was
unable to edit the flowchart, even though LibreOffice Writer provides the
user control.

I am using two PCs:
One has Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2007 Professional
One has Microsoft Windows Server 2007 SP2 and runs LibreOffice

I edited it with both Microsoft Word 2007 and LibreOffice Writer.
I am informed that attachments are removed and these have been uploaded to
