Hi Dave,
using Fedora and LO 5.0.1.2 it looks like you simply toggle between
displays. EG. click on templates to look at your templates then click on
(eg) "recent files" to view your files.
I have to say though I don't know where the templates live.
Cheers

How do I close the Template Manager window? I opened it to see if a
template I use was installed, and it was not. So how do I close the
window? <comment> Why is there no Close button!!</comment>
Where are the templates stored? I have some templates from the 4.2 ver.
and a previous Linux install. I need to know where to look in the
backup to find the templates I created, and where to put them in this
install.
Thanks,
Dave
