Everything was working great until two days ago, I can no longer read any
of my saved files in doc format.
It opens into garbled text like this:
Íòmë
#>3jÄe_M?7kÒcŨWQyS#C<l¹jíŸ#óDÚ`WŽ{Œ#ñ·ÍÁ%×v#&JÙ»HdÈ#\”†‡#|#îƒK«#Mˆkûò¿¦Òi-##’´#ðáo&¹#iû8ðª&˜s!ô(Vò$¨eJD€PC9¥µWIv‰3…GÚÈ#ß

Documents that were created in the past week open up with no issues,
just my previously saved documents converted from word are the issue.
Any help is appreciated
Andrew, to me this sounds more like an encoding problem than an LO problem
- you would normally want your documents to be encoded in utf.8. What
operating system are you using ? If Linux, this web page might prove
helpful : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Locale....
