Subject: How to Turn a Landscape Table by 90 Degrees into a Portrait Table

*How to Turn a Landscape Table by 90 Degrees into a Portrait Table*

*Windows 8.1*

*Since 2008, I have been looking for simple ways to turn a table on a
landscape page by 90 degrees into that on a portrait age.*

*Once I found one, in Writer 3.0.1, but the table could only
be turned right-to-left vertical. What I wanted was to turn it
left-to-right vertical.*

*That means, the table on the landscape page should be turned in order that
the top of the table should be on the left margin on the portrait page, not
on the right margin of the portrait page.*

*Now that I no longer use OpenOffice,org and only use LibreOffice, I do not
know whether Writer has this feature. *

*The answer for this question should be in LibreOffice Writer.*

*My question is here: [PDF]

*Any help is appreciated.*

Imperfect Solution)*

 How to Turn a Table by 90 Degrees

 How to Turn a Landscape Table by 90 Degrees to a Portrait Table

 *Word Processor: LibreOffice*

*Operating System: Windows 8.1*

*Hereunder is how I did it, imperfectly. I had wanted to turn the table
using LibreOffice Writer, without using LibreOffice Draw or LibreOffice
Calc, but so far I could not do that.*

*I hope somebody would come up with a systematic instruction sometime in
the future.*

  *1. In LibreOffice Writer, make a table on a landscape page.*

*Save it as Landscape Table 1.odt*

*2. On that page [Landscape Table 1.odt], click File --> Export*

 *File name: Landscape Table 2.png*

*File format: PNG - Network Portable Graphic (.png) (*.png) *

 *Export as Landscape Table 2.png*

 *3. The following appears.*

* Width: 864 px*

* Height: 576 px*

* Resolution: 96 DPI*

*[OK] [Cancel]*

 *[You can adjust the values of the size here.]*

 *Click OK*

 *4. View the image [Landscape Table 2.png] in an image viewer such as
Windows Photo Viewer.*

 *5. On that image [ Landscape Table 2.png] click File --> Make a copy.*

 *File name: Portrait Table 3.png*

*Save as type: Portable Network Graphics File*

 *6. Right-click anywhere on the page [Portrait Table 3.png], and click
Rotate Left.*

 *Click File  --> Copy*

 *7. Make a blank Portrait Page.*

 *Save it as Portrait Table 4.odt*

 *8. On that page [Portrait Table4.odt], click File --> Paste*

 *File type: ODF Text Document (.odt)*

 *9. Save it as Portrait Table4.odt*
