Hi :)
Maybe something worth getting into databases to do?

Is there a memory issue? What size are the files? It might be good to go
to
Tools - Options - Memory
and just radically increase most of those settings. I kinda dropped the
number of undo steps to try to save a little space but on modern machines
the amount of Ram tends to be waaaay more than is anticipated in the
default settings.
Regards from
Tom :)

How does it cope with people like you - who have no plausible name?

7 different vertical to large large large number of horizontal data.

Er, is that seven columns and many rows?

I have attempted numerous times with different files of a large
collection to test merging the data into 1 large file. Read as much
information as can find but still none the wiser as to why the screen of
libreoffice is just blank and not seeming to merge anything!

So you are going to keep everyone in the dark about exactly what you've
tried?

I've tried compare approach as well as merge but that just mixes up the
data and is incorrect. At a loss as to whether this is possible or If am
going to have to input massive amount of data manually.

No, of course not.

o Open both spreadsheets.
o Select the required material in one spreadsheet.
o Copy it and paste it into the other.

Or:
o Open one spreadsheet.
o Go to Insert | Sheet from File... .
o Select the required sheet and where to insert it.
o If required, copy material from the new sheet to existing sheets.

The merge and compare facilities are intended to deal with differently
modified versions of the same file, which is not what you have here.

I trust this helps.
