Thank you, both for the one helpful and practical suggestion in response to my request, but for not
saying "cheque" is the way it should be done. (When one lives in the US and the Treasure, Fed, and
all banks use "check," that pretty much makes it official…)
While I didn’t find anything useful under "libreoffice cheque", I have found a few links that may
work for Word templates. I also bought a MICR gauge so I can do my own template - either on
LibreOffice or on my own ledger program I use.

I find a few links that were really talking about cheques (those things that are used for
payments...) :)
I didn't see anything specific for LibreOffice, but I saw some Word templates, that might be easy
to adapt to use with LibreOffice.
