Hi, I am using Fedora so a slight diff in approaches but here goes:
* using firefox go to www.libreoffice.org and click on "download now"
* Next screen says "LibreOffice Fresh" "Main Installer" and then a
green space marked "DOWNLOAD NOW"
* Click "DOWNLOAD NOW" and then we get the bewildering screen relating
to donations - ignore this unless you want to donate
* I then get a box asking me what to do with the download - either
"Open With" or "Save to file". I choose "save to file"
* The download begins in the background
And that is about it. Is that your experience?
Cheers

I have been unable for the last three releases to download from the
TDF Download page for LO.
I have the URL for the archive, which works fine, but shouldn't the
main page work?
