Hi :)
Just popped into the Apache OpenOffice forum
https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/
and noticed their header claims "User community support forum for Apache
OpenOffice, LibreOffice and all the OpenOffice.org"

I think it's great! :) There are quite a few places where people can get
help with LibreOffice now. Oracle tried to kill that sort of co-operation
between OO and LO so it's good to see them seeing us as all part of a wider
community.

Of course there are a few things they might not be aware of over there that
might need to be sent here. I suspect that many of them know more than
some of us anyway, well some of me at least.

I used to keep hearing that their Base forums were fantastic and so few
people were doing anything with Base it was painful that those few were
scattered and discouraged from communicating or from working together.
This helps deal with that sort of fragmentation without jeopardising the
independence of either project imo.

I don't think it helps to worry about them stealing people from our turf
because there are plenty of problems to go around and LibreOffice has
advantages that AOO doesn't.

Regards from
Tom :)
