I assume you're referring to the "input line" (where you can type
formulas etc.) in Calc?
Being another one who avoids the mouse whenever possible, I'd never
noticed that. You're right, there's no right-click context menu for that
box, at least in the couple of versions I've checked (4.0.4 and 4.2.0).
no one has ever asked, or is there a technical reason?
I just went to report this on the bug tracker, and found it's already there:

Doesn't seem to be considered a high priority though, so you might want
to add a comment there to explain how it's affecting you.
In the meantime, a possible workaround is to edit in the cell (where you
can right-click and paste) rather than using the input line, but you may
not find that so convenient anyway.
