It sounds like you are having some weird and unusual things going
wrong that shouldn't be going wrong like that.  Usual advice is to try
renaming your "User Profile"

if that does work you can always copy chunks of your old profile back
into the new one to regain your galleries, templates and whatever else
is tucked away in there.  That might help you find precisely what
broke it but typically only by re-breaking it.  So once you have found
the config/setting/Extension that breaks it then rename your newer
profile and this time only copy the safe stuff from the 1st renamed
profile.  I'd recommend trying the Extensions first because it's
usually some interaction between Extensions that causes weird errors.

Personally i dodge that and just use a fairly vanilla LibreOffice
without any of the good and interesting stuff that a lot of people
like.  So i never need to find out what broke it and instead just
start out with a fresh clean User Profile.

It has existed for ages but it's tricky to describe or find exactly
the right place to double-click.  Once you have found the sweet-spot
and noticed the way the mouse pointer has become a strange line with
arrows then it's very easy and doesn't need describing because it's so
obvious.  Before you find it it's impossible to find.  Hindsight
rocks! :)

I'm not sure what you are trying to replicate.  If it's the original
problem that you can't replicate then that points to the problem being
some weird combination in the User Profile
