I don't know that you are.

One suggestion:
The point of indenting the first line of a paragraph is to indicate the
start of a new paragraph even when the last line of the previous
paragraph happens to be full or nearly so. It is a hangover from
typescript or from manuscript on lined paper (and is unnecessary even
then if an entire line is left blank between paragraphs). Since you
have chosen a paragraph style (Text body) that has vertical spacing
between paragraphs, the indenting is unnecessary and you can easily
dispense with it.

One workaround:
Insert a frame where the pictures are. You can either put the pictures
in the frame or put them in front of it. Either way, your text will
apparently wrap around the frame as you wish it to.

I trust this helps.

Hi Brian,

yes that workaround helps, thank you.

The example file is simplified, the actual document has no vertical spacing between paragraphs, I chose the indentation because it is indeed supposed to imitate the style used in older books. Also the pictures will have captions (which creates a frame around the picture as I noticed), so I guess I´ll have frames within a frame.

I also thought about arranging the pictures and captions in a table, which is placed inside a frame (to allow text to flow around it), but that doesn´t really make a big difference, does it?

Greetings
Andreas

Seems it is something to do with the way wrap is applied. If you change the wrap you loose the indentation altogether.
