I do not mean "Text Boundaries".
So far I found this option setting will meet my need partially:
Tool > Options > Appearance > Shadow (set it to "Gray 30%")

Since  the color setting for the page border *and* the shadow is only one,
your solution is probably the only workaround...

Maybe someone else on the list knows a hack?
