This works, from what others have posted, but it doesn't help those of us using laptops with touchpads (i.e., no mouse or scroll wheel).

On Mac, this works in Writer/Calc/Draw/Impress (unless of course, you
don't have a mouse, but you can use the touchscreen instead).
