Hi Dave,
The problem arises when I have to add or delete a new user or change an
existing user's rights. It seems that the only way I can modify the
workgroup settings is by opening the DB up in Access, changing the security
settings there and then saving the file. Then once I open the DB back up in
Base, it will honor the new security settings. If this is the only way to do
things, I can never get rid of Access! If anyone knows how I can change my
security settings in Base without having to use Access, I would really
appreciate the help.
This is probably/possibly a limitation of the current MDB ADO driver
implementation in LO. I would suggest opening up a bug report and
marking it as request for feature enhancement (RFE). Whether or not it
will get any attention will be dependent on a developer having the
required resources to be able to deal with it. In other words, this may
require a specific UI/code development that is not currently possible
with the available resources.
