Thanks for the help everyone.
It worked! She opted to right-click in Explorer rather than re-installing; not sure why. She is
happily using LibreOffice ... she had installed AOO but it could not open her spreadsheet file.
Now she can work on her spreadsheet files and will also move her Publisher files, which was great
news to her too!
