Hi :)
You will notice that was a very old thread. It's a rare event that you will probably not be able
to repeat on any future install or other messing around with your system even if you deliberately
try breaking things. Windows just does weird things like that occasionally. Most systems suffer
some sort of "system rot" over time. Some much worse than others but all suffer from it. Now that
you have fixed it you'll probably never see that particular dll problem again.
Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: [libreoffice-users] LO4.01 and msvcp100.dll
I upgraded from 3.5 to 4.01 yesterday and the new version seems to work fine
- Windows 7 Premium x64,. But this morning when I tried to open one of my
other programs (xplorer2, a windows explorer replacment) it complained that
a file, msvcp100.dll, was missing. I managed to download a copy of it from
the web and copied it to my windows/system folder and that has sorted that
issue out.
I see there was some discussion of this and related files elsewhere on here.
Is it possible that the install program has incorrectly deleted it? I cannot
think of anything else that might have caused it as the other program has
run fine for ages.
