pretty much answers my question.

(assuming you've downloaded the package already):
cd LibO_3.6.2.2_Linux_x86_helppack-rpm_en-US/RPMS
rpm2txz libobasis3.6-en-US-help-3.6.2.2-2.i586.rpm
installpkg libobasis3.6-en-US-help-3.6.2.2-2.i586.txz
The rpm2txz utility is quite useful in these kinds of situations. Hope
