Hi :)
I have noticed some people confuse the / marks thinking they are 1's.  Particularly if it's dark, 
soggy, scribbled hastily, has gained slight imperfections or on a bit of torn paper or something or 
if they only glance very quickly or without glasses on etc.  


Too many ways the / can fail.  So i tend to prefer using a - which never seems to confuse anyone.
