Hi :)

It is sometimes faster just to re-write afresh and save in a native OpenDocument Format, in this
case
.otp
(stands for something like "Open Template Presentation")

There are other programs that might be better for most things that people use Impress or PowerPoint
for but in this case i think Impress might well be the best answer.  You want

Subject: Re: [libreoffice-users] Changing backgrounds on slides regularly

Possible solution:

create a new presentation
open master
create your 12 back grounds
close master
save as template

create new presentation based on this template
select View / Task pane (or Ctrl+shift+T) / master pages
in the top part (Used in This Presentation) you see all 12 created back grounds (=master slides)
select what you want to use for your next slide

have fun

Our organisation requires us to use a specific template. This template
consists of 12 backgrounds that are to be used one after the other with
consecutive slides. When the number is up, the presentation should start
again with the first background of the set; so to say in a circular manner.
The easy (and boring) workaround is to click slide after slide and then
background after background. And when one has 27 slides, this IS boring. And
when I duplicate slide 12, I need to redo the same thing for slides 13 to
28.
I have not been able to find a solution for this task. Can anyone help me
out, please?
