Hi :)
Windows uses NtLdr instead of Grub so i guess you are talking about not having a dual-boot system.  
Hmm, not sure about Win7 and Vista but perhaps still the same one.  

Most system running "Grub2" are actually on Grub 1.98 or around there.   I don't know how to find 
out what i am on.

My test system (openSUSE 12.2.Beta2) is running Grub2 and LibreOffice 3.5.3.2. No problems so far. 
Did not effect my other disks.

It may effect Windows systems, as I don't run Windows.
