I had the same problem, and here's the fix:
In OO or LO, in the print dialogue, there is a "properties" button,
and from there, Device tab.
One of the dropdowns there is "Language". It defaults to PDF
If you instead select "Postscript (Level from driver)" then landscape
printing works.
It's a bug in OO and LO, and can be "fixed" for each
individual printing job. Unfortunately, I haven't learned a way to
make the fix permanent.

I had the same problem with my Samsung printer that quit doing Landscape
with my Mageia Linux distro. I found that it was not in fact a bug with
LibreOffice but a problem with the printer driver. If the Brother uses
SPL (Samsung Printer Language), and, it looks like it does, then you may
have the same driver problem.
I solved my problem by installing the SpliX printer driver supported by
the OpenPrinting.org site (Linux Foundation). You can find the
installation routine here:
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.mageia.user/7431
If it solves the problem, the fix should be reported to both the Brother
devs as well as the SpliX group so that they can update their printer
compatibility page.
I no longer have to go to the properties button to change the settings
on any of my print jobs.
Cheers,
Marc
