Also, you will have to pay for the options to play a DVD or other
related media files, according to an article last month.
Win8 should be a dead-on-arrival OS. You have to pay for most of the
things you normally get for free with WinXP/Vista/Win7.
I really do not want my desktop to look like a tablet, the way MS
wants. They want people to be able to use the exactly same desktop
look/feel for both their tablet, laptop, and desktop. They make it hard
to figure out how to use it, and it looks worse than Unity does. There
is an article comparing Ubuntu 12.04/Unity and Win8.
So you really do not want to buy into Win8.
