This is an existing file as example, having the issue I reported.
Unfortunately is it in Dutch, but anyway.

The sheet called "voedingsschema" uses pull down menu's which allows you to
select products from the other sheet, called "calorietabel". What you now
see in e.g. cell B19 is that it shows a number ("117" in this case), whereas
it is supposed to show the name of the selected product. I guess that the
word "brinta" was intended.
The interesting part is that the pull down menu's in cells C3, C4 and C5 do
work, but those pull down menu's do not refer to a list of words on another
sheet.

For reference have I created a second file from scratch, showing the
intended behavior:

Here I made a list of options on one sheet and a choice on the second sheet.
Now the selected option become visible.
