Ubuntu's default one is good There is a Community Documentation page about data-recovery https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DataRecovery but possibly the best thing is to try to find a back-up copy, perhaps a version you emailed someone or that got emailed to you, or a copy on usb-stick or maybe you have one version on a network folder and one on a desktop machine.
