I don't think anyone is updating the built-in help so quite a few features might not be covered at 
all.  It's worth bookmarking a link to official documentation,
There is an Faq which covers Base but not much else yet.  It's being translated from the French

I just did it. Got 3.5.3:〈=en-US&version=3.5.3.
Then I purged the which came with Ubuntu 12.04 and unpacked and
installed 3.5.3. I checked that comments can be inserted in Impress without
causing Impress to quit. My last question which is strictly not related to
this topic is how to get the built-in help to work. I downloaded that as
well. (Thanks to everyone!)
