It's very easy to get the data from one Base database to another, I 
think it's one of the standout features of Base.

Once you've set up the new database, using the standalone HSQLDB, 
just can just drag tables from the tables area of the previous 
(embedded) one and drop them onto the tables area of the new one!  
How wonderful is that?!
