I renamed the /libreoffice folder as already suggested, which made no
difference except when I restarted libreoffice all my setup was still
the same. But when checking my paths I noticed that several items had
config files under /.config, so I looked in there and found a
./config/libreoffice folder. So I renamed that too and restarted
libreoffice, and then had to setup my paths again, and on checking, my
'recent documents' menu entry works. Brilliant!
Thanks to all those who responded, both my showstoppers have now been
sorted out, lovely jubbly!
Sharon.
