i must admit I'm a total neophyte at this aspect of front-/back-end database
manager / file thingie, but I hope I went through the correct series of
steps before to set up HSQLDB2 using the Windows setup files -- not sure
(for one thing a file was created ON MY DESKTOP!) -- mydb.odb

the setup files "should" have created the "shortcuts" (using their
terminology) in my Accessories folder in my Start menu

presuming that's worked out OK, what should I read next -- haven't used this
type of technology, and haven't created anything but "embedded databases"
before (unaware this was not the best /option).
