Or if you want the pictures to show then you need to save the pics to the usb-stick and then edit
the odt to change the links to find the pics that are on the usb-stick instead of the pics that are
on your machine.
Errr, sorry that looks as clear as mud :( Hopefully you can make sense of that?

Open the odt file that has the linked pictures in it. Edit > Links opens
the Edit Links dialog. This contains a list of all the linked pictures
for the odt file. Since you want to remove the link for all the
pictures, highlight the entire list. Then click the Break Link button
embedding all all the pictures in the odt file. Click Close, and save
the odt file. This should do what you want.
