Please feel free to replace that word with another word of your
choice. Maybe ”changes” would be better in this case:
”I think one of the changes in 3.5 is getting rid of…”

Or maybe not, hard for me to tell. English is not my native language,
but I do the best I can. It's good enough in most cases, but obviously
not always.
