Hi:

        You only have to input like this example:

        in cell A1 : 10/12/2011
        in cell B1 : 12/12/2011
        in cell C1 : +B1-A1 ---> Result = 2 in cell C1

Don't you just format the cells as Dates rather than numbers or text and
then just do one cell - the other and have the answer cell formatted as date
too?
