Hi :) Perhaps renaming the user-profile might clear the problem? http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/UserProfile I don't have any trouble saving as doc or docX on 3.3.2. Sometimes MS Office users find the pictures and logos have moved around a bit. I thought 3.4.x was better. Perhaps the problem is something to do with starting as something very different? Can you start a new document and save that as docX?
