Thank you!  I am using Mac OS X 10.6.8.  I checked both, the LibO 
extension site and the one of OOorg.  In neither of them I have found an 
addon that allows me to include PDFs files.  Of course, there is one to 
import PDF files, but I have already stated in the OP that this does not 
suit the needs I have developed during my LaTeX-hyperref-pdfpages time. 
Have I missed something?
