When I installed 3.4.4 on a system that I newly installed Linux Mint 11 OS onto it, I had to install a default JRE. It did install 3.3.2 on it by its default, but it never installed the needed JRE for the 3.4.x versions. Otherwise it works fine for me. I wonder why Mint does not install a JRE by default?

Even though this IBM server [cir. 2002] originally had SUSE installed, I never could get openSUSE to run on it when I bought the server a few years back. Hopefully it works better now than back then.
