Java access going on in there, hence Tom's valid question as to the
version of the JDK being used, which will have a clear impact on the
speed (or lack of it) at which mailmerge progresses.
Mailmerge within LO has never been particularly speedy anyway, but it
has got significantly worse since JDK 1.6.23.
