I had tried redownloading and reinstalling LO only to find out it didn't fix
the issue.
However, I got it working in a really confusing way.
I normally use the Xfce4 desktop environment, in which LibreOffice wasn't
working well. I installed KDE 4, and found out that in KDE there's none of
the problems I had with LO in Xfce4. I didn't change any settings in LO.
Everything in LibreOffice worked fine under KDE.
The funny thing is, now LO works in Xfce4 too.
I have no clue what KDE4 did, but so far everything seems to be working
normally, even in Xfce4. I wonder if my font configuration was damaged and
KDE somehow fixed this in its startup procedures.
