Ahah, that makes sense of a thread on the Evolution mailing list now. I think Evo has the same
"Reply to list" feature as Thunderbird. In mine i have "Reply to all" which might seem clearer but
is not necessarily better and doesn't make up for other problems.

Usually one comes via moderation and another one with delay ;-)
... and you happily dropped the moderation copy, right?
Thunderbird command "Reply to list" replies to the GMane newsgroup and
to the list.
Now I "Reply to sender" and it goes to the list only.
